Our Mission
The Seacoast Jazz Society was founded in 1990 as a 501(c)3 New Hampshire nonprofit organization. Your donation helps support our threefold mission to:
(1) foster a love and appreciation of jazz and jazz history in the community;
(2) support local musicians and their profession; and
(3) help aspiring young artists pursue jazz.
We accomplish our mission in a number of ways including:
—the annual summer Seacoast Jazz Festival, now in its 41st year;
—special jazz performances throughout the year;
—education and scholarships for young artists;
—promoting local musicians and offering masterclasses;
—maintaining an online daily calendar of jazz in the region;
—publishing the biweekly Jazz Up Next and the monthly newsletter JazzBeats;
and much more!
