Nihco Gallo, Secretary
Nihco Gallo has been playing vibraphone in New Hampshire and Maine for over a decade, developing an improvisational and compositional style merging influences from minimal music to contemporary jazz. While studying engineering at the University of New Hampshire, Gallo was awarded the Terry Gibbs Vibraphone Scholarship from the Percussive Arts Society. Later that year, he spent a semester at the Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest, studying under renowned Hungarian percussionist Bela Zsoldos. Since graduation, Gallo has established a wide presence on the Seacoast and beyond, including associations with Chris Klaxton, Sig Shalome, and Ayan Imai-Hall. Additionally he has led many of his own projects, including a trio, a wide range of duos, and several ensembles dedicated to performing music from South and Central America. |
