Al Felgar
Al Felgar was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and educated at Grove City College (BA) and Medical College of Virginia (MHA). He served in the U.S. Air Force for five years. During the course of his professional career, Al served as Chief Executive Officer of four different hospitals in various part of the United States. Now retired, he enjoys a number of hobbies. He’s an instrument-rated private pilot with 36 years of flying experience. With a commitment to fitness, he has completed 27 triathlons. And he volunteers as a deck hand on the Gundalow in Portsmouth. Al is a long-time jazz enthusiast who expresses that interest, as he puts it, by “mostly listening.” He also reports that he “dabbles” in playing drums, guitar and trumpet. His favorite jazz artist: John Coltrane. |
